We Are Telling a Story of a
Journey That is Worth it...

Prerequisite for Art 2: Successful completion of the Art 1 course.

Art 2 is the second class level of a four-year curriculum, where your Art 2 student will embark on a robust journey that will build upon skills taught to your student in the past class level of Art 1, and students will be learning new techniques while using new mediums.

Projects will include figure drawing, watercolor landscape, stippling, architectural design, India ink wash, clay coil pots, and a pastel self portrait. Students will continue to improve their drawing techniques, their understanding of color theory, and use of value.

We know that Art is the First Language, and by continuing your child’s art education over the course of our 4-year curriculum, your child will develop strong technical skills, explore a big variety of media, gain confidence and build a professional-quality portfolio that opens doors to art scholarships, college programs, and even careers in the creative field.

We welcome all the students who have completed the Art 1 level at a Children’s Art Classes studio. If you’ve seen your child grow in both skill and confidence during Art 1—and you’re ready to see them take the next step—Art 2 is the perfect next chapter. This level continues to challenge and inspire, helping your young artist refine their techniques, explore new materials, and build on everything they’ve already learned.

We continue to provide your child with the tools, guidance, and structure they need to grow — not just as an artist, but as a confident, expressive individual. Art 2 will build their skills and understanding, excite, and inspire them to bring their art to the next level!

Within 8 Weeks You’ll See:

As your child progresses through our program, their confidence and skills continue to grow. Week by week, as they begin to master new media, they’ll feel the excitement of how quickly they can complete a drawing so they can begin learning something new!

They will take pride in their ability to mix color, and their deepened understanding of color theory. Art 2 class projects are rigorous, and most projects will begin with our students completing the drawing portion at home, which allows us to spend class time on developing new skills and more time learning how to use the new medium.

Art 2 students look forward to seeing their classmates from the previous year, and friendships continue to develop. Our students feel safe, and can unwind, recharge, and simply be themselves. The studio becomes a home away from home for many students, and a place where they can grow not just as an artist, but as a person.

Most of our families drop off their child for class. Parents who choose to stay may wait in the waiting room area while class is in session.

Can I switch schedules?

Yes. Just contact your teacher to make the switch (provided there is available space).
